In the beginning, during the times of my childhood, I remember…playing Atari and Nintendo games and going to the game room to play Pac-Man, Asteroid, Space Invaders, and Centipede. I remember my great aunt catching me during school time still playing the game and making me go to school, as she went to the counter to buy her lottery tickets and some cigarettes. A time where penny candy was really a penny each and chico sticks, candy cigarettes and strawberry cookies werebig sellers at the candy store. Playing outside in the alley and around the block while staying with grandma, my aunts & uncles; watching The Three Stooges, Benny Hill and Good Times every night. Playing uno and spades as James Brown is being played out of my uncle’s monster boom box. Running pass Jack-In-The-Box as we raced to find more pop bottles that we could return so we could have money to buy french fries with catsup, hot sauce and a plastic fork in a paper bag. I remember being grinded on; hearing her breathing as she does that for a while.
My stepfather coming in the house bleeding after being stabbed by some dudes that tried to rob him.
